Three Tracks - each offers Workshops and Field Trips
Gather inspiration and hone your craft by selecting one of our creative writers learning tracks. All sessions convene on Thursday afternoon, May 15, and continue for full day activities, Friday and Saturday, May 16-17. The Gathering concludes with a dinner and showcase on Saturday night, with a special guest performance. See ticket pages for the single day and meal add-on options.

Writers Retreat 1: Listening to the Land
Three day retreat with poets Jill McCabe Johnson, Danny Sherrad and Abigail Morgan Prout, joined by authors Thor Hanson and Robert Dash. Poetry and writing workshops, immersive nature field trips, poetry readings, time to reflect and write, and the cammarderie of fellow writers.

Writers Retreat 2: Turning Memory into Memoir
Three day retreat with authors Iris Graville and Debra Babcock convenes at the beautiful Lakedale Resort with indoor and outdoor workshop activities. We’ll explore craft techniques such as characterization, setting, scene, dialogue, and reflection to make you—your memoir’s main character—come alive on the page. Outdoor walks and yoga activities help nurture your inner voice and bring you present in your body.

Writers Retreat 3: Wonder of Songwriters
Find inspiration on sea-to-forest field trips with authors and poets, and hone your song writing tool kit with Geof Morgan from A Wonder of Songwriters in Bellingham. Time to write, play, and share in a fun group setting over three days.
